Hi, I’m Margaret, and I think bad art can solve some big problems.
My writing started lonline who loves books, whimsy, evidence-based wellness, 1980s action movies, and absurd Tumblr-esque humor. In my day job, I’m a psychiatry resident interested in psychodynamic therapy, eating disorders, and women’s mental health at transition life points (though none of this is medical advice). I am also 1/2 of the podcast, How to Be Patient. I write to work things out for myself, and to share thoughts that might be helpful, relatable, weird, or delightful to you. I always struggle to keep my dishes clean. I love rom-coms of any and all ilks.
Why pay?
Paid subscribers get every article in full, with deep dives on broad ranging concepts on making a meaningful and expansive daily life along with journal prompts, further resources, and concrete ideas to apply them. For those who want something offline and more comprehensive, paid subscribers also get $8 off any of my digital journals and guides on Etsy, anytime they want with a specific discount code.
Paid subscribers make my writing here and across socials possible. They allow me to take less shifts at the hospital to pay off my medical school loans, which frees up the space for me to research, write, and create here. Every time I get a new paid subscriber, I add a gold star to my “sky of subscribers” on my fridge, both as a celebration and as a visual reminder of your trust and investment in my writing.
Take care & take your time,
Margaret of Bad Art Every Day
