Mondays in December can be long and dull and full of indigestion, depending on what holiday events preceded it. Therefore, sometimes I like to drop a bright spot on here with lovely little somethings I’ve found in the last week, that I think you all might enjoy as well. There is really no other connecting string between these except that I liked them, and you might, too.

  1. On the coldest day so far this winter, I bumbled into a local Tatte Cafe on Friday afternoon and, being cheapish, decided to get soup for lunch, and got their tomato basil soup with a roll. I cannot emphasize how delicious it was, some part of it intrinsically to the food itself, but likely also due to the contrast of the bustling cafe and hot soup compared to the frigid temperatures outside. It’s sending me down a rabbit hole for my own tomato basil recipe with homemade bread, and you know I will share that once tested.
